Graham Baba Architects

Graham Baba Architects is an architecture practice with residential, commercial, and institutional work and offices in Seattle and Bellingham. The relationship between program, layout, and context is central when considering services of this kind: spatial decisions need to respond to planned activities, site characteristics, and the needs of people using the facilities.

Its work encompasses projects at different scales and transformations of existing properties. Lettered Street Intergenerational illustrates an interest in adapting housing for different generations, connecting site use, existing buildings, and changing patterns of family living. Reviewing references by program and context helps identify which aspects of the practice can respond to the priorities of a particular assignment and its intended users.

An initial inquiry benefits from identifying the building use, location, approximate area, and whether the assignment involves new construction or an existing property. Reviewing comparable projects helps frame a discussion about scope, design stages, and coordination with the specialists required for the proposed work.
