About Zardoya Otis
Zardoya Otis is the Spanish company of the Otis group devoted to manufacturing, installing, maintaining and modernising lifts and escalators, based in Madrid. Its network of associated companies serves residential buildings, offices, hospitals and shopping centres across Spain, with the sector's largest maintenance portfolio.
In an existing building, modernising a lift is not just replacing the cab: the controller, machine, doors and safety systems determine reliability, consumption and ride comfort. A prior diagnosis of each component's condition allows investment to be prioritised and unexpected breakdowns avoided.
For a residents' association or manager, it helps to gather the breakdown history, the installation's age and current accessibility and safety requirements. Ask about the modernisation scope, the maintenance contract, response times and energy-efficiency options, and confirm the works and inspection schedule.
