About Orona
Orona is the Basque cooperative vertical-transport group, with its Orona Ideo innovation city in Hernani, which designs, manufactures, installs, maintains and modernises lifts, escalators and moving walkways for housing, offices, hospitals and public transport. It is one of Europe's largest manufacturers of complete lifts.
When choosing a lift, capacity, speed, expected traffic and available shaft space condition the model more than cab aesthetics. In refurbishment, the shaft structure, power supply and accessibility must also be checked, because those factors may require a machine-room-less or reduced-dimension solution.
Before requesting an offer, gather the number of stops, travel height, intended use, peak-hour traffic and accessibility and energy-efficiency requirements. Ask about the maintenance plan, response times, future modernisation and guarantee, and confirm who manages the statutory inspection.
