About Taller Capital

Taller Capital is a Mexican architecture studio formed by Loreta Castro Reguera and José Pablo Ambrosí, based in Mexico City. Its projects address public space, housing and research, taking the city itself as raw material.

Water runs through much of its work: the La Quebradora Water Park and the Colosio dam park, the latter winner of the 2022 MCHAP Emerge prize and the global Holcim Awards Gold, treat hydraulic infrastructure as public space able to hold back floods and offer places to meet. Linear parks and civic squares in municipalities across the country belong to the same line.

The studio combines design, university teaching and territorial research, with an architecture of conceptual synthesis, spatial richness and material austerity. Its international recognition places it among the most influential Mexican practices in today’s public-space debate.
