About El Equipo Mazzanti
El Equipo Mazzanti is an architecture and research studio based in Bogotá, led by architect Giancarlo Mazzanti. Its work focuses on public, educational and cultural buildings in which architecture is understood as an open system, capable of growing, adapting and generating new forms of encounter.
Its best-known works include libraries, schools, hospitals and public spaces in several Colombian cities, designed with modular structures and strong attention to climate, light and collective use. The studio combines architectural design with research into play, learning and urban life.
Its work has been recognised in national and international biennials and published in specialist media around the world, making it one of the most prominent contemporary Colombian practices.
