Egernsund Wienerberger A/S

Egernsund Wienerberger A/S is the Danish brick operation of Wienerberger, manufacturing bricks, roof tiles, paving clinker and clay facade cladding from Danish plants including Vedstaarup, Helligsø and Vesterled. Its range covers facing bricks in many colours and formats for masonry facades and paving.

When specifying clay bricks, define format, colour variation, compressive strength, water absorption and exposure class, and request samples that show the natural range within a delivery. Mortar colour, joint profile and bonding pattern change the facade's appearance as much as the brick itself.

Brick deliveries need dry, level storage and protection from rain and site dirt, and damaged units should be set aside for cutting. Allow for sample panels on site, since they are the practical way to agree the final appearance before full facade work starts.
