About Coop Himmelb(l)au
Coop Himmelb(l)au is an architecture practice founded in Vienna in 1968 and run from its Vienna base, known for expressive, geometrically complex architecture spanning museums, concert halls, office buildings and housing in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
For a prospective client, this is a large-scale, internationally oriented practice, best suited to high-profile cultural, institutional or corporate commissions rather than a conventional single-family house. Reviewing its built portfolio helps to check whether the project type and budget fit that scale.
Before making contact, prepare a clear brief covering the commission, the site, the timetable and any competition or procurement route, as practices of this size typically work through formal selection processes and large teams.
