About Cerâmica Vale da Gândara

Cerâmica Vale da Gândara, created in 1957 and located between the Buçaco and Caramulo ranges, at Mortágua, was rebuilt in 1994 as the first Portuguese company designed from scratch to produce facing brick and ceramic pavers. Since 2007 it has belonged to the Spanish ceramics group La Paloma and owns its own clay pits, guaranteeing continuity of its clays.

Its ceramic units are used in walls, partitions, facades and pavements, offering thermal mass, durability and a distinctive finish. The range is defined by format, strength, acoustic and thermal behaviour, and compatibility with the construction systems commonly used in Portugal.

For architects and contractors, the value of a structural ceramics supplier lies in dimensional regularity, availability and performance documentation. Before specifying, it is worth confirming formats, strengths, bonding details and compatibility with insulation and finishes.
