About Atelier Oslo

Atelier Oslo is a young, award-winning architecture practice founded in 2006 in the Norwegian capital, with a team of just over ten architects. Its work ranges from large urban projects to single-family houses, cabins and installations, with a special emphasis on environmentally friendly architecture.

The studio won, with Lundhagem, the international competition for Oslo's new main library, Deichman Bjørvika, opened in 2020 and named the world's best public library in 2021. It has also specialised in transforming historic cultural buildings, such as the Sentralen cultural hub.

For cultural and institutional clients, Atelier Oslo is a leading choice for libraries, public facilities and heritage refurbishment, as well as for high-quality small-scale housing projects.
