About A-001 Taller de Arquitectura

A-001 Taller de Arquitectura is an architecture, urbanism and research office founded in 2003 in Mexico City and led by Eduardo Gorozpe. Its working motto is that every project is unique and singular, and that architecture is lived through the human connection between people, territories and spaces.

The office has developed projects of diverse types and scales, such as housing, public space, ephemeral architecture, corporate architecture and mixed use. Among them are Coliving Interlomas in Naucalpan, Distrito Teatro and the Nico Hotel & Residences project in Xalapa, Veracruz, as well as the proposed refurbishment of Chabacano metro station in the capital.

Its practice combines research and design, with special attention to collective housing and ways of living in community. That line explains works such as Margreth Senior CoHousing in Xalapa, conceived from Mexico’s demographic change and the needs of older people.
