About Matt Fajkus Architecture
Matt Fajkus Architecture is an Austin architecture practice presenting residential and commercial work with attention to sustainable design. The relationship between program, layout, and context is central when considering services of this kind: spatial decisions need to respond to planned activities, site characteristics, and the needs of people using the facilities.
Its studio occupies the historic Brown Building in the city center. For a new assignment, the portfolio offers architectural references and a basis for discussing relationships between site conditions, habitable space, and program requirements. Reviewing references by program and context helps identify which aspects of the practice can respond to the priorities of a particular assignment and its intended users.
This profile can assist owners, institutions, and developers comparing design practices. An initial discussion becomes more useful when it includes activity requirements, site or property conditions, and priorities for use, allowing responsibilities and deliverables to be defined clearly for the particular assignment under consideration.
