About West-line Studio
West-line Studio is an architecture practice based in Guiyang, Guizhou, founded by Haobo Wei and Jingsong Xie and devoted to reinterpreting the vernacular architecture of China's karst southwest.
Its work focuses on the culture and landscape of Guizhou and the diversity of its ethnic minorities, with projects such as the Chetian Cultural Center and the Qingzhen library and information centre, built with local materials and techniques.
The studio provides architecture, interior design and landscape services, working exclusively in southwest China on cultural and visitor centres, libraries, education campuses, fire stations and commemorative architecture.
