About Tuñón y Albornoz Arquitectos
Tuñón y Albornoz Arquitectos is the Madrid practice of Emilio Tuñón and Carlos Martínez de Albornoz, continuing the work of Mansilla + Tuñón. Its output combines museums, cultural buildings, single-family houses and educational facilities, including Madrid's Royal Collections Gallery, the Helga de Alvear Museum in Cáceres and the Brick House in Madrid.
Before signing, agree in writing on the scope of each phase, the deliverables, the fees and the timescales, and ask who coordinates structure, services and site supervision. A clear initial definition avoids costly changes once the project is under way.
Finally, confirm which procedures the practice will handle, what documentation it delivers at the end of each phase and how monitoring will work during construction. A well-documented commission protects the client and lets the project advance without interruption.
