About Thorn Lighting
Thorn Lighting, a Zumtobel Group brand, is a British manufacturer of professional indoor and outdoor lighting, based in Spennymoor, County Durham. Its catalogue covers offices, education, healthcare, industry, retail and exterior lighting, with LED luminaires, control systems and emergency solutions.
In architectural lighting, the luminaire is only one part: optics, colour temperature, control and efficiency determine visual comfort and consumption. Thorn works with lighting designers, engineers and contractors to resolve complete projects, not just product supply.
The company has a long track record in the United Kingdom, where it holds a prominent position in professional lighting. For projects, it is worth defining illuminance levels, glare and control from the design stage, and validating luminaires with calculations and samples.
