About Studio Märkli

Studio Märkli is the Zurich studio Peter Märkli founded in 1978, based in Albisrieden, with a second workspace at Escher-Wyss-Platz. Märkli taught design at ETH Zurich from 2002 to 2015.

The practice is known for a lyrical, refined architecture rooted in drawing, history and the city, with houses, museums and public buildings such as La Congiunta, the museum for Hans Josephsohn's sculptures, and the Hürzeler House in Erlenbach.

For clients seeking a deeply reflective Swiss practice where drawings, facades and landscape ideas shape the building, Studio Märkli is a singular Zurich reference.
