About Sagrex
Sagrex is the aggregates producer of the Heidelberg Materials group in Belgium, with its operating centre at Rebecq in Walloon Brabant, beside the Quenast porphyry quarry, one of the country's most important aggregates operations. Its business is the extraction, crushing and sale of aggregates for concrete, asphalt and civil engineering.
The Quenast quarry, producing around 1.5 million tonnes a year, supplies much of the Brussels and Brabant region and forms the core of Sagrex's business. Beyond this site, the company runs other aggregates production and distribution centres in Belgium.
For contractors and concrete plants, Sagrex is a supplier of high-strength aggregates, especially porphyry, a material valued in pavements and concretes subject to heavy loading. Its membership of Heidelberg Materials gives it logistics scale, although its brand trades under its own identity in the Belgian market.
