About PIR2

PIR2, also cited as Pir II, is a practice founded in 1994 on the pier in Trondheim, now with offices in Trondheim and Oslo. Its team brings together architects, landscape architects, interior architects, urbanists and planners, working in architecture, landscape, interiors and planning.

The practice is the author of well-known cultural buildings such as Rockheim, the national museum of popular music and rock in Trondheim, created from a 1920 flour warehouse, as well as schools, activity centres, regional headquarters and campuses. Its solutions start from the content of the project and the specific situation of the site.

For public and private clients in central Norway, PIR2 offers a strong practice in culture, education and public space, with particular sensitivity to reusing existing buildings and to the relationship between architecture and the harbour urban landscape.
