About nARCHITECTS
nARCHITECTS is a Brooklyn studio working on new buildings, transformations of existing properties, and public spaces. The relationship between program, layout, and context is central when considering services of this kind: spatial decisions need to respond to planned activities, site characteristics, and the needs of people using the facilities.
Founded by Eric Bunge and Mimi Hoang, it collaborates with public agencies, cultural institutions, developers, and private clients. Carmel Place and the NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center illustrate its investigation of housing, community life, and civic architecture. Reviewing references by program and context helps identify which aspects of the practice can respond to the priorities of a particular assignment and its intended users.
An initial inquiry benefits from identifying the building use, location, approximate area, and whether the assignment involves new construction or an existing property. Reviewing comparable projects helps frame a discussion about scope, design stages, and coordination with the specialists required for the proposed work.
