About Miroiterie de Chartreuse
Tempered and laminated glass answer different risks: the former, breakage and mechanical strength; the latter, retention after breakage and fall protection. Confusing them is one of the most frequent specification errors. In interiors, glass brings light and visual continuity, but exposed edges, fixings and installation tolerances must be planned for a clean, safe result.
Decorative glass — lacquered, screen-printed, acid-etched or mirrored — divides spaces without losing light, but cleaning behaviour and resistance to marks and scratches should be judged for the actual use. In passage or frequent-contact areas, matt and textured finishes usually age better than perfectly smooth surfaces.
