About Metsä Wood
Metsä Wood, the wood products division of Metsä Group, is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of engineered wood for construction. Its flagship products are Kerto LVL, laminated veneer lumber, and birch and spruce plywood, plus further processed sawn timber for structures and prefabricated elements.
Its wood comes from sustainably managed, certified Nordic forests and is used in floors, roofs, walls, formwork and industrial applications where the strength-to-weight ratio is decisive. Kerto LVL allows long spans and slender sections, while plywood is used both structurally and for concrete formwork and transport.
For designers working with timber construction, Metsä Wood offers technical documentation, calculation tools and a sales network in more than forty countries. Its approach combines carbon storage in the building, material efficiency and prefabricated element design that shortens on-site erection times.
