About Mathys Paints
Mathys Paints is the paint brand of Martin Mathys, based in Zelem, aimed at professional paints for wood, metal and wall surfaces. Its range includes lacquers, primers and professional wall paints, with technical data sheets and colour systems for applicators and distributors.
In practice, a paint or coating is chosen by its complete system — primer, coat and finish — not by colour alone. Manufacturers in this group work with formulations for wood, metal, walls and floors, where adhesion, wear resistance and colour stability decide whether a finish lasts or soon needs redoing.
For an architecture directory, the interest of these companies lies in their systems and colour service: shade cards, samples and data sheets help specify a coherent finish throughout a building. Compatibility between coats and planned maintenance should be confirmed case by case, especially outdoors and in high-use areas.
