About Maprovi
Maprovi, Maquiladora Procesadora de Vidrio, is a Mexico City specialist in tempered and curved glass, with origins in the 1950s in the Moctezuma neighbourhood, in the workshop of Asunción and Gonzalo Mancera. Legally constituted in 1973, it added Italian machinery in 1994 and, under the third generation led by Mario Mancera in 2013, added Chinese and Italian equipment and curved tempered glass.
Its processes include tempering, curved tempered and annealed glass, EVA lamination and frosting, serving architectural, automotive and furniture glass. Curved tempered glass is its most distinctive speciality: few Mexican processors master curvature with tempering, needed for facades, railings and design pieces.
In 2015 it opened a branch in Gustavo A. Madero, on Henry Ford street, expanding its service capacity in the north of the city. It is a long-standing family processor with a technical rather than commercial profile, aimed at architects, facade contractors and furniture makers.
