Mapei España

Mapei España, with headquarters and a plant at Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, is the Spanish arm of the Italian Mapei group. It produces adhesives for ceramic and stone, mortars, waterproofing systems and floor-laying products, with further plants at Amposta and Cabanillas del Campo.

When laying ceramic tiles, the adhesive choice depends on tile format, substrate and whether laying is indoors, outdoors, in a pool or over underfloor heating. An unsuitable adhesive can cause detachment even when tile and substrate are correct.

For a project, state the tile type, format, substrate and conditions of use. Ask for the adhesive classification, recommended joint, consumption and open time, and confirm whether the complete system, with primer and grout, is covered by the manufacturer's guarantee.
