About Maderas El Caminante
When buying timber for furniture, ask for species, grade, moisture content and whether it comes planed or dimensioned, because those four facts decide later behaviour: wet timber twists and opens joints as it dries in the workshop. Reject pieces with loose knots, deep cracks or signs of insects.
For large orders, agree the grade selection and acceptance criteria before delivery, and store timber under cover, stacked with spacers and ventilated. A good batch badly stored reaches the workbench with distortions that can no longer be corrected.
