About Lacaton & Vassal
Lacaton & Vassal is an architecture practice based in Paris (Île-de-France) whose work covers practice of Anne Lacaton and Jean-Philippe Vassal, Pritzker laureates, a world reference in housing refurbishment and doing more with less. Its projects are mainly in France, spanning different scales, from the individual building to urban intervention.
Its work with existing buildings makes it pertinent to refurbishment, extension and change-of-use projects, an increasingly central field in France. Weighing its experience in this area helps anticipate how it will treat structure and memory of place.
In refurbishment, the prior survey of the building shapes the whole project, and a track record in similar interventions carries real weight. The listing provides the contact and location details needed to request specific references.
