About JLF Architects
JLF Architects is an architecture practice developing houses connected with landscape and the use of reclaimed timber and local stone. The relationship between program, layout, and context is central when considering services of this kind: spatial decisions need to respond to planned activities, site characteristics, and the needs of people using the facilities.
Its work combines traditional building references with contemporary solutions through design and construction collaboration with Big-D Signature. Relationships between material history, craft, and domestic life characterize its approach to residences within natural settings. Reviewing references by program and context helps identify which aspects of the practice can respond to the priorities of a particular assignment and its intended users.
This profile can assist owners, institutions, and developers comparing design practices. An initial discussion becomes more useful when it includes activity requirements, site or property conditions, and priorities for use, allowing responsibilities and deliverables to be defined clearly for the particular assignment under consideration.
