About INMACO

Inmaco is a Guatemalan brickworks operating since 1956, described as Central America's first vacuum brickworks, dedicated to producing and marketing clay products such as facing slips, floors, roof tiles and walls. Its plant is on the Atlantic route, in zone 17.

Clay masonry requires checking dimensions, absorption and strength, because pieces from different batches can vary in tone and size and leave irregular joints. For exposed facades, reserve material from a single batch for the whole surface and confirm the bond pattern and recommended mortar before starting.

When laying, dampen pieces as the manufacturer directs and protect freshly built walls from rain and abrupt drying. A well-bonded wall that is poorly cured in its first hours can crack even when the brick itself is good quality.
