About ICA
ICA, Ingenieros Civiles Asociados, is the Mexican infrastructure construction and operation company founded in 1947 by engineers from UNAM. It is organised into civil construction, industrial construction and concessions divisions, with experience in thirteen countries and seven sectors.
Its work includes roads, hydroelectric plants, ports, airports, metro systems, refineries, industrial plants and housing, plus water infrastructure, pumping, drinking-water treatment and wastewater treatment. ICA took part in building all 12 lines of the Mexico City Metro and operates more than 1,000 kilometres of roads through its concessions arm.
For a large-scale infrastructure project, ICA offers one of the longest track records in the Mexican sector. It is worth clarifying the relevant division, the construction-versus-concession scope and references from comparable projects before starting a process.
