About Hecker Guthrie
Hecker Guthrie is a Melbourne-based interior design studio led by Paul Hecker and Hamish Guthrie. It works mainly in hospitality, housing, retail and workplaces, with projects in Australia and overseas.
Its hallmark is a residential, sensory approach to interiors: tactile materials, bespoke furniture, art and a restrained palette that make restaurants and hotels feel intimate rather than theatrical. The studio pays particular attention to transitions between spaces and the human scale of each room.
It is a good fit for developers and hospitality operators seeking an interior with its own lasting identity. The Richmond address and phone agree across several sources, while an older Cremorne address appears in earlier material.
