About Estudio Macías Peredo

Estudio Macías Peredo is an architecture office founded in Guadalajara in 2012 by Salvador Macías, Magui Peredo and Diego Quirarte. Its trajectory combines built work, research, teaching and exhibition projects, with a practice rooted in Jalisco’s construction culture.

Its buildings include housing towers, such as Torre AVANCER, winner of the silver medal at the Oscar Niemeyer Prize for Latin American Architecture in 2022, and the Casa Escondida in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, whose model and sketches were acquired by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Monographs by Arquine, TC Cuadernos and El Croquis have documented its first decade.

In 2026 the office was selected to represent Mexico at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2027 with the project Rural, which shifts attention from the city to rural territories as sources of knowledge for present and future architecture. That selection confirms its standing as one of the most relevant Mexican practices of its generation.
