About ERN Ingenieros Consultores
ERN Ingenieros Consultores is a Mexican company founded in 1996, specialised in seismic engineering and in assessing natural and man-made risks affecting people, buildings and infrastructure. Its founding partners are researchers from UNAM and Stanford.
Its services include site-specific seismic hazard analysis, geophysics studies, vulnerability estimation, building risk inspection and appraisal, and risk calculation systems for insurers and governments. It has carried out more than five hundred seismic hazard studies in Mexico.
ERN has helped draft complementary technical standards for seismic design and has built systems used on projects financed by multilateral bodies. Its work combines applied research, probabilistic modelling and technical advice for construction, insurers and the public sector.
