About Desvres Surfaces
Desvres Surfaces is a company French ceramic tile manufacturer based in Boussois (Hauts-de-France). Its activity focuses on its French-origin ceramic tiles.
In ceramics, format, thickness and finish condition installation more than pattern. Large slabs demand flat substrates, suitable adhesives and well-resolved movement joints. Slip resistance, stain resistance and frost resistance should be chosen for the real use: a bathroom tile does not face the same demands as a high-traffic outdoor pavement.
Installation is half the ceramic result: flexible adhesives, expansion joints and careful setting-out prevent cracks and debonding years later. For large formats, substrate levelling and the use of levelling systems while the adhesive sets make the difference between a perfect floor and one with lippage.
