About Dellekamp Arquitectos
Dellekamp Arquitectos is a Mexican office led by Derek Dellekamp and Jachen Schleich, based in Mexico City. Its practice moves between housing, office buildings, pavilions and research into construction processes, with special attention to history and materiality as a starting point.
Its works include houses in the Desierto de los Leones, the Casa de Suiza pavilion built in certified laminated pine timber, and the welcome centre and rural housing prototypes for INFONAVIT’s Materials, Water and Energy Laboratory in Apan, Hidalgo, which won first place in the competition. Those projects show an interest in modular systems and materials that can be assembled and transformed.
The studio has published its creative process in the book Pragmatismo Poético, edited by Arquine, and frequently collaborates with other offices on competitions and cultural projects. Its architecture seeks a pragmatic poetry: clear ideas, resolved with few resources and constructional precision.
