Balsan

Balsan is a company French manufacturer of commercial carpet based in Arthon (Centre-Val de Loire). Its activity focuses on its carpet tiles and broadloom for offices, hotels and public buildings.

Engineered wood combines a visible noble layer with a stable core, reducing movement compared with solid wood. Its finish — oil or lacquer — defines maintenance and long-term appearance. In refurbishment, available height, substrate condition and compatibility with radiant floors must be resolved before choosing species, format and laying system.

In timber, certified origin and dimensional stability matter as much as species. Well-chosen parquet ages with dignity and accepts sanding that extends its life by decades. Maintenance with renewal oils or lacquers, applied in time, avoids the need for a premature full sanding.
